Eric Pregler
Chief Executive Officer

Eric Pregler is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Eagle Mountain Energy Partners.

Prior to EMEP, Eric served as Senior Vice President on the Kayne Anderson Private Energy Income Fund. During his time at Kayne, Eric led technical evaluations of ~100 deals culminating in ~$4.5 B in acquisitions, and was responsible for reserves, development and strategy management post-acquisition. Prior to Kayne, Eric held various roles of increasing responsibility with Pioneer Natural Resources in its operations, reserves, business development, and investor relations groups.

Eric received a BS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.

Shaleen Patel
Chief Financial Officer

Shaleen Patel is co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of Eagle Mountain Energy Partners.

Prior to EMEP, Shaleen served as Vice President of Corporate Development & Finance at Carrizo Oil & Gas, Inc. During his time at Carrizo, Shaleen led strategic planning, corporate budgeting, and business development efforts, which ultimately led to the company’s merger with Callon Petroleum Company in December 2019. Prior to Carrizo, Shaleen held various roles of increasing responsibility with RBC Capital Markets where he assisted energy companies execute capital markets, A&D and M&A transactions. Shaleen started his career at Ernst & Young LLP.

Shaleen received a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas and an MBA from University of Pennsylvania.

Michael DeKruif
VP of Engineering

Michael DeKruif is co-founder and VP of Engineering at Eagle Mountain Energy Partners.

Prior to EMEP, Michael served as the Williston Production Engineering Supervisor at Oasis Petroleum Inc. During his time at Oasis, Michael spent the majority of his time overseeing completions and production operations in the Williston Basin. Michael was also the principal engineer in Oasis’ business development group, where he evaluated ~100 deals in the Williston and Permian Basins totaling ~$5 billion in value. Prior to Oasis, Michael worked at P2 Energy Solutions.

Michael received a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Colorado School of Mines.

Kyle Dubiel
VP of BD, Land & Legal

Kyle Dubiel is the Vice President of Business Development, Land & Legal at Eagle Mountain Energy Partners.

Prior to EMEP, Kyle served as Principal Landman at Equinor. During his tenure with Equinor, Kyle primarily focused on managing onshore land operations and leading A&D transactions in the Williston Basin. His efforts included strategic identification of opportunities and the execution of innovative business strategies which successfully grew net asset value and enhanced core development opportunities. Additionally, Kyle served within Equinor’s Legal Department as In-House Counsel and with the corporate A&D team in Houston. Prior to Equinor, Kyle started his career in South Louisiana and East Texas at BETA Land Services.

Kyle received a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University and a JD from South Texas College of Law. Kyle is a licensed attorney in the State of Texas.

Kyle currently serves as a Director of the American Association of Professional Landmen (“AAPL”) and is the Immediate Past President of the Austin Professional Landman Association (“APLA”).
